YACHTING’S CAPITAL OF THE WORLD PREPARES TO HOST LARGEST IN-WATER SHOW.

Florida’s Fort Lauderdale is preparing to welcome around 1,200 boats, 10,000 attendees, and over 1,000 exhibitors to its waters for its annual International Boat Show from 1st-5th November, 2017.

Now in its 58th year, the event is one of the largest in-water boat shows anywhere in the world, held in a city widely regarded as the ‘yachting capital of the world’.

The event follows on from a hugely successful 2016, where the ground-breaking 84meter superyacht ‘SAVANNAH’ even made an appearance, alongside a host of spectacular vessels.

The event brings together luxury yacht builders and designers from around the globe, alongside eye-catching exhibits such as exotic cars and brokerage yachts. With so many charter yachts also in attendance, the show is a particularly mouth-watering prospect for potential charter passengers, who are sure to find themselves spoilt for choice.

For five days, the city will transform into a yachting paradise, covering some three million square feet across event locations including the Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel & Yachting Center, the Hall of Fame Marina, the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, Las Olas Mincipal Marina, the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Marina, the Sails Marina, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.

Attendees can explore the seven event locations via a network of water taxis, riverboats, and bus shuttles, all in place to make travel between the locations utterly seamless.

The Sails Marina will welcome some of the most luxurious and highly desirable charter yachts to its waters, alongside a host of motor yachts and sailing yachts, many available for charter. In addition, runabouts, sport fishers, high performance boats, center consoles, cabin cruisers, flats boats, skiffs, express cruisers, sailing yachts, motor yachts, bow riders, catamarans, ski boats, trawlers, and jet boats will also be in attendance.

General admission tickets can be purchased online for $29.00 per adult, and $12.00 per child (6-15). Children under 6 go free. VIP packages including show tickets, club passes, and water taxi rides can also be purchased at the website.

With so much to see and do, the event is a must for anyone interested in charter yachts or boats in general, and looks set to make a splash once again.
